Kester Back is Australian made and owned. It is a brilliant, permeable and anti-chipping enamel with a 10-Free formulation, i.e. it does not contain toluene, DBP, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor, xylene, parabens, perfumes, phthalates, tested ingredients or ingredients derived from animals. Kester Black has also never used ingredients such as Ethyl Tosylamide, triphenyl phosphate or xylene. None of our nail polishes contain palm oil, parabens, sulfates or petrochemicals.
Our product range is made with certified organic ingredients and contains more than 97% natural ingredients.
They contain only the highest quality ingredients and are certified Cruelty Free, Cruelty Free International, Australian Made, Vegan Society and Halal, B-Corp

Halal certified - water permeable enamel
We can consider the molecules that make up our permeable glaze like marbles in a jar. When water is added to a layer of glaze, the H2O is able to penetrate the molecular structure (the marbles) and reach the other end of the enamel layer.
About Water Permeable Enamel
The water-permeable enamel is made thanks to an innovative formulation that allows the oxygen molecules and consequently the hydrogen atoms bound to it, to pass from one layer of the enamel to another. This phenomenon happens at the molecular level and is not visible to the naked eye making controls
“do it yourself” imprecise. Numerous tests have shown that if oxygen is able to penetrate the enamel film, then the hydrogen atoms bonded to the oxygen can travel with it to the other side of the film.
This action allows water to reach both sides, thus making the enamel permeable and breathable. WHY CHOOSE PERMEABLE ENAMEL? Using permeable nail polish helps improve health
