Sidr Ziziphus Protective Moisturizing Powder

Conditioning herb for hair, volumizing and strengthening. Rich in mucilage, it has an anti-pollution protective action against smog, dust and heavy metals. Together with Henne or Katam it is an excellent fixative. Also suitable for thin hair as a washing herb.

Sidr is a desert plant belonging to the Rhamnaceae family. Its leaves are reduced to a very fine powder, rich in saponins, which give it washing power: it is therefore useful for washing the hair of people with intolerance and allergy problems. Leaves hair clean, shiny, healthy and well conditioned. It does not leave any colored pigment, for this reason Sidr is considered a "Neutral Henna"

HAIR: volumizing and strengthening, excellent for treating skin problems such as dandruff, psoriasis, eczema, hair loss and as a sebum-regulator, thanks to the presence of mucilage. Protects from smog, wind, chemical agents and heavy metals. Used pure it does not release any type of dyeing pigment, but if added to Indigo, Henna or Katam paste it helps to fix the dyes on the hair fiber, also leaving the hair clean, shiny, healthy and well conditioned. Sidr is ideal for those with light hair who would like the conditioning, thickness and protection of Henna, but without any color change, for those who cannot use any soap or detergent to wash their hair and for those with thin hair , without tone and would like more thickness and texture.

HISTORY and CURIOSITY: the name derives from Christ's crown of thorns: it seems in fact that the tree used to produce it was the Sidr.

HOW TO USE: Mix the powder with boiling water. Add any other Herbs for a synergistic effect. Leave to macerate for 20 minutes well covered. Apply the paste on dry or wet hair for washing, massage the scalp with circular movements. Leave on for 50 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. A final rinse with water and vinegar helps keep the hair shiny and soft.
