Cold Red Henna Natural Tint

Red dye herb. It binds to the keratin present in the hair, protecting it and making it more voluminous. Cherry red/copper color depending on the starting base.

Henna coloring powder is obtained from the dried leaves of Lawsonia Inermis, a plant of the Fabaceae family, used for thousands of years for ritual and decorative purposes and for dyeing fabrics. Its Red Coloring power is due to the presence of glycosides which release a yellowish, reddish pigment in the air, and which, if present in different percentages, can give different shades to Henna-based colours. This molecule is Lawsone, and it binds to keratin, the hair protein: henna, therefore, does not penetrate the hair like chemical dyes, but binds to its scales, in this way, not only protects the hair, but volumizes it by increasing the diameter of the shaft. The hair is more voluminous, bright and protected from external agents. Henna is also a powerful sebum-normalizing and anti-dandruff agent.

HAIR: Henna is the only dyeing herb able to stratify and bind to the keratin of the hair, therefore it can be added to other dyeing herbs to create the desired shades, which will depend on the color of the hair on which the paste is applied and on the percentages of the various ingredients of the Herbal mix. In addition to the dyeing properties, Henna prevents dandruff and helps eliminate it, as it has a rebalancing action on the scalp, thanks to the presence of tannins with astringent and dermopurifying properties. It is sebum-normalising, disciplines and makes hair strong and shiny.

HISTORY and INTERESTING FACT: In the East and in Mediterranean Africa, Henna is used to make auspicious and protective temporary tattoos (Mehndi) on the hands and feet. The Mehndi drawing ritual involves women of the whole family and/or tribe and can be performed on particular occasions such as weddings: in India the wedding Mehndi includes the initials of the spouses and often their portrait.

#How to Prepare Henna

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: Mix the Henna powder, depending on the volume of the hair, with warm water. Add half a glass of vinegar or lemon. Leave the container well covered for about 12 hours (about 6 hours in summer). Apply to dry and perfectly clean hair. The paste can also be prepared with only boiling water and applied immediately. Installation: 1/3 hours. Rinse thoroughly, shampooing is not necessary. Apply a small amount of conditioner if your hair is dry.

THE QUANTITIES ARE INTENDED FOR STRAIGHT HAIR, IF YOU HAVE WAVY OR CURLY HAIR PULL IT TO KNOW MORE OR LESS WHERE IT WOULD GO IF IT WERE STRAIGHT.

These quantities should be respected at least the first two/three times that the Henna is applied, then it can be reduced to maintain the colour. but if there is white hair, it is recommended to continue with the indicated quantities.
